I’m a typical Jack. Jack of all trades, master of none. It’s pretty obvious based on my blog content. I have no specific agenda, never a defined time for updating my blog.

Allow me to share with you a “scenic” shot of my bedside table. I am currently reading 6 books. Yes, 6 books. I’ve started reading them since last year. I have yet to finish any of them.

The problem with me is, I get distracted when I see a new book. I start going through the first few pages, then I’m hooked. While I am still reading the first book, either I will buy another book or someone coincidentally passes an interesting book to me.

For an example, “Cultivation of Tao”. This book was a free door gift when I attended a Buddhism lecture. With all due respect, the lecture, as expected was long winded, lengthy and philosophical. It was not even my intention to have any interest on the book. I brought the book home nevertheless. I place the book on my desk. One fine day, I flip the pages and a photo caught my eye’s attention. It was the drawing of the “Devil”. I paused and look at it intensely. “How on earth can a mortal describe the “Devil” in drawing. Have anyone seen one before?” I questioned the book. I have yet to discover the answer.

Next, it is the “Rice Mother”. My friend left it in my room. I read only 2 pages. I’m sure its a motherly book about the kitchen.

Dale Carnegie books are my favourite. I have several books from him. I now worry if I can still afford to buy anymore new books from him. I think I’ve completed the “Stop Worrying” part and I yet to unfold how to live a better life. I think year 2007 will be a good year to start living.

“People Styles at Work”, it is a good read if you are dealing with oxymoron at work. I highly recommend this book for those suffering with idiots in the making in the corporate world.

Last but not least, “365 Nirvana here and now” was my year 2005 Christmas gift. I wasn’t diligent enough to read it daily, thus I think I still have 340 Nirvanas to go.

If you look closely, I have another book on the bedside table. Its a “4 in one” book. I hide it. I don’t think I can handle 10 books in a year.
